Patrick Luther Dabney Sr Ching Tang 1935 Original Member

Patrick Luther Dabney Sr., passed away 2/1/1992. Pat was born 11/8/1915 to William McDonald Dabney and Lula May Moody Dabney in Douglasville GA. By 1930 the family had moved to 2852 SW 37th Ct. Miami. After graduating from Ponce de Leon High in 1935, Pat moved with his family to Dania FL, where Pat was a Yard Forman in a Rock Quarry. In 1937, Pat married Doris Marie Rosner. In 1941 Pat was drafted. He was in the Army during WWII, and served in Europe during the Battle of the Bulge. Pat and Doris had a son Patrick Jr. born 11/8/1944. Pat and Doris divorced in 1944. In 1945 Pat moved with his parents from Dania to Summerfield Florida where he owned Dabney's Welding and Machine Shop. In 1948 Pat married Wilma Dora Perkins. They divorced in 1976. In 1977, Pat married Ramona Lee Staley, his high school sweetheart. (Ponce class of 1936) Pat's son Patrick Jr. passed away in 1991, just five months before his dad. After Pat's death, Ramona moved to Homestead Florida to be close to her sister Sara Morden. Ramona passed away 11/12/1999.
